Competition court cases - terms and conditions
1. By submitting a case listing for inclusion you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions attached below.
2. The OFT reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. You are responsible for reviewing regularly information posted online to obtain timely notice of such changes.
3. You agree when making submissions for inclusion on the database that you shall not submit or include in any part defamatory, obscene, offensive, indecent, unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, vulgar, libellous, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material or information.
4. When submitting a case listing you are requested to include your contact details (email or postal details). Please submit a contact address to be published on the database at which third parties may contact you regarding your reported case listing. At least one of the two forms of contact must be provided.
5. Any case listing you submit should not include personal opinion and should be as precise a summary of the judgment (facts and dicta) as possible.
6. By submitting a case listing for inclusion you are vouching for the accuracy of all details submitted.
7. Case listing submissions will only be accepted if sent by email (which address will only be disclosed if you so indicate in the contact details box) using the downloadable form included here.
8. Please note that your case listing may be subject to editorial amendment, for example in the interests of accuracy, lawfulness, formatting, and/or language usage.
9. In view of your knowledge of the case, if an individual case listing submitted by you gives rise to any form of dispute, you or your organisation accept to be the party to field any initial enquiries. In the even a dispute does arise concerning your entry, you must fully inform Sejual Shah at the OFT (sejual.shah@oft.gov.uk) of the matter immediately.
10. The OFT and its staff reserve the right to remove a case listing without prior notification to the submitter or any third party on the grounds that it is inaccurate in its restatement of the law, or that it infringes English law.
11. You agree that any material submitted for inclusion on the database may be used by third parties free of charge and for information purposes so long as the source of the material is identified and the copyright status is acknowledged.
12. By submitting this case listing, you assign all copyrights and rights in the nature of copyright in the case listing to which you are legally entitled to the OFT on behalf of the Crown. You retain your moral right to be identified as the author of the case listing.
13. By submitting the case listing for inclusion on the database, you also vouch that you have the appropriate authority to assign copyright where you assign copyright on behalf of an employer or other third party.
14. The OFT is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the database.
