A competitive salary, a generous pension, 30 days holiday entitlement and an on-site gym - just some of the benefits of working at the OFT. Find out more below.
We will pay you a competitive salary that reflects your skills, knowledge and overall contribution to the OFT. You will also be eligible to be considered to receive a performance-related bonus.
On appointment to the OFT, you will be eligible to join the Civil Service Pension Scheme.
Further information is available on the Civil Service Pensions website.
You will be entitled to 30 days paid leave per year, plus Bank Holidays and two and a half extra 'privilege' days - one at Christmas, the Queen's birthday (usually added to the Bank Holiday at the end of May), and a half day at Easter. Paid maternity, paternity or adoption leave is also available.
We are committed to helping you fulfil your potential - something that is reflected in our accreditation to the Investors in People standard.
You will be able to choose from a wide range of face-to-face training programmes and e-learning modules, and benefit from regular information-sharing seminars given by colleagues to enhance your personal growth and development journey.
We will also support you if you are pursuing academic study relevant to your role.
You will be able to work flexible hours where appropriate so you can balance the demands of work and home. Working from home for one or more days a week is also possible in some roles.
Full-time employees work a five-day, 36-hour week (exclusive of lunch hours). We also offer some part-time positions, including job shares.
After one month of service, you will be able to apply for an interest-free loan to buy a travel season ticket or a bicycle or motorbike for travel to work.
We operate a childcare voucher scheme that gives you the option to purchase childcare vouchers via deductions from your salary. You only pay tax and National Insurance on your reduced salary, so in effect the vouchers you buy are tax-free.
We offer access to low-cost private health insurance and private medical facilities for Civil Servants.
There is an on-site gym that you can join for a modest fee. In addition, our Sports and Leisure Club offers sporting and social activities during and outside office hours. They include yoga, Pilates, self-defence, theatre trips, quiz nights and a book club.
Our on-site café serves hot and cold meals and light snacks all day.
The OFT is based in the heart of London just off Fleet Street. There are excellent transport links. Download PDF map (pdf 33 kb).
